For optimal results hair should be about 1/4 inch (6 mm), roughly two to three weeks of growth. Shorter stubble may not be removed effectively; if hair is much longer, a light trim can reduce discomfort and speed the treatment.
Most clients report mild to moderate discomfort, especially first time. Our experienced therapists use quick, gentle techniques and soothing products to minimize pain. Breathing, reduced caffeine and scheduling around sensitive times help make the experience more comfortable.
You can expect smooth legs for about three to six weeks, depending on individual hair growth cycles. With regular waxing sessions hair often grows back finer and sparser, extending the periods between appointments and improving overall results.
Shaving between waxing appointments removes hair at the surface and can cause ingrown hairs, but it won't permanently prevent future waxing. If necessary, light trimming is preferable. Avoid shaving the day before your appointment to ensure proper wax grip.
Most skin types can be waxed safely, but we assess individual contraindications first. Avoid waxing if you have sunburn, active skin infections, open wounds, or recent strong topical prescriptions like retinoids or certain acne medications; a patch test can determine suitability.
Exfoliate gently 24–48 hours before to remove dead skin, avoid tanning and heavy moisturizers the day of, and arrive clean. Skip retinoids and chemical peels for a week prior. Wear loose clothing after your appointment to prevent irritation.
