Get answers to common questions about Bikini Wax.

Most clients enjoy smooth results for about three to six weeks, depending on individual hair growth and care. Exfoliating and avoiding shaving between appointments can extend results. Schedule routine sessions to maintain a consistently neat bikini area.

Some mild discomfort is normal, especially for first-timers, but sensations are brief. We use quick techniques, calming pressure, and warm wax to minimize pain. Numbing creams are available on request; avoid caffeine beforehand to reduce sensitivity.

Prepare by ensuring hair is about a quarter inch long, exfoliating a day or two before, and avoiding heavy lotions or recent tanning. Clean, dry skin allows the wax to adhere better and reduces the chance of irritation.

Ideally hair should be roughly 1/4 inch (about 6 millimeters) so the wax can grip. If too short, waxing won't be effective; if very long, we will trim first for comfort and better results.

Temporary redness, sensitivity, and small bumps are common immediately after waxing. Avoid hot baths, heavy exercise, and tight clothing for 24–48 hours. Use soothing lotions and gentle exfoliation after 48 hours to prevent ingrown hairs; contact us for prolonged issues.

In most cases waxing is safe while on birth control or during pregnancy, but increased sensitivity is common. Inform your technician and consider a patch test. Later trimesters may require a more comfortable position; consult your healthcare provider with specific concerns.
