Complexion Clarifying Facia is formulated to protect the moisture barrier, but 2% salicylic acid can irritate very sensitive skin. We perform a consultation and patch test, and will modify strength or recommend an alternative if you have high sensitivity.
For persistent congestion we typically recommend an initial series of four to six treatments spaced one to two weeks apart, then monthly maintenance. Results are cumulative; at-home products and avoiding pore-clogging cosmetics improve long-term outcomes.
Most clients experience minimal downtime. Mild redness or light flaking can occur as the salicylic acid and exfoliating formulas work, usually resolving within one to three days. Use gentle cleansers, moisturize, and avoid sun exposure and additional exfoliants until healed.
Always disclose oral or topical acne medications during your consultation. Isotretinoin requires a waiting period; topical retinoids may increase sensitivity and need adjustment. We’ll tailor the treatment safely or suggest alternatives based on your medication history and skin condition.
We recommend Purifying Cleanser, Clear Alliance, and Aquaboost Liquid Resurfacing Solution as part of aftercare. Pair with a gentle moisturizer and broad-spectrum SPF daily. Avoid strong exfoliants and acne spot treatments for several days or until your esthetician advises.
